We, as you all know, are under the strict guidelines of the Town of Whitestown and Governor Cuomo as to what we are allowed to participate in and how many are allowed in the rink itself. We will not know if the season will include games, scrimmages, competitive play, as that is out of our control.
As we strive to keep the lines of communication open, we realize that the schedule for the season has many on-edge as it has not been released. Each group, Mites and up, will skate a minimum of 3 times per week with the potential for a 4th skate with our rotating power skating clinics and goalie skates. We have a board meeting on Thursday and the schedule for the regular season beginning October 5th will be approved and posted on our website, sent in an email, and posted on our FB page. LTS/LTP will receive more information after that meeting as well.
We understand the frustrations with the Active registration system as well and we have heard your concerns over the charges and fees. Due to a glitch in Active's system, raffle tickets were not charged at the same time for everyone. We are not utilizing Active after this season and will be switching to another system (Sports Engine) that charges smaller fees. Active charges 6.4% and this goes directly to Active, not to Whitestown Youth Hockey. We have refunded any concession fees that were charged since the concession stand will remain closed for the season. Our raffle will still take place this year in December. This raffle has been our fundraiser for the past three seasons and is an easy way for us to offset ice costs and keep registration fees down and has proven to be an efficient fundraiser. Many other sports do the same thing and once the tickets have been distributed, you keep the money after selling them.

Have a great day and let us know if you have any additional questions.
